From walks and talks to volunteering, the Annual Open Day, Easter Egg Hunts and Carols at the Windmill, we are expanding the number of events on the Commons this year with lots of new events for you and your family to join in.

Saturday Scrub Bashers Group Event

Saturday Scrub Bashers Group

11th March 2017 from 10.30am to 12.30pm

Windmill Car Park

This is a great way to get involved in conservation work on the Commons. Not only is scrub clearance an essential and fundamental part of our work to protect the heathland, it's a great way to keep fit! The work is physical, but you can set your own pace.

The number of volunteers is limited to 15 at each session so if you wish to attend, do please let Peter know by the Wednesday preceding each session.  Volunteers must be over 16.

The Group meets in the Windmill Car Park (near the Bike Racks) and Pete Haldane, our Conservation and Engagement Officer, provides all the tools and gloves needed. If you'd like to join in, please do contact him by e-mail or call on 020 8788 7655.
