2017 sees us introducing many more events to the Commons' calendar. Along with our regular volunteering and Walking for Health walks, we have more walks with our Senior Team as well as a series of nature walks on birds, bats, moths, butterflies and dragonflies. For more information on any of our events, check the listings below.
Most of our events are free of charge, but any donations you would care to make, all of which will go towards the upkeep of the Commons, will be gratefully received.
Walking for Health
25th April 2017 from 10.30am
Working in partnership with Merton Council and their Walk4Life programme, two members of our staff have been trained as walk leaders and recently began leading a series of short, easy walks on the Commons that have been specifically designed for people who would like to improve their health and well-being by becoming more active.
Walking has many health benefits and it's a great way to meet new people and make new friends. The walks are free, no special equipment is needed and you can walk at your own pade in the safety of a led group. Walks usually last for about 60 minutes but you can leave whenever you want.
The walks start at the Ranger's Office at 10.30am.
Booking is not required, and tea and coffee is provided.
