Commons News - Spring 2022
Welcome to our Spring Newsletter
This last week of fine weather has given a glorious taste of spring and after a dull and damp winter, it's been lovely to get out and feel the warmth of the sun and see the Commons start to burst into life!
However, we start this Newsletter on a sadder note with the news that there has been a major pollution incident upstream of the Commons which has resulted in oil being released into the Beverley Brook. More information in our article below.
On a more positive note, two of Commons' regular attractions are finally able to restart after the long two years of COVID.
The Wimbledon Windmill Museum will be re-opening on Saturday 2 April 2022 and the Wimbledon Common Nature Club is thrilled to announce that their monthly sessions for children held in the Information Centre will will be restarting on Sunday 3 April. More details in the Commons Update below.
