Welcome to our Summer Newsletter!

This Newsletter is mainly to tell you about the events we have coming up over the next two weeks but we're always on the look out for new ideas for articles so if there is anything you would like us to cover, do drop us a line and let us know.

22nd to 24th June - come and join us for our annual BioBlitz Weekend of Nature. From small mammals, to bats, moths, butterflies, dragonflies and an abundance of wildflowers, our local experts will lead a series of walks for enthusiasts of any age.

The Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators' Annual Open Meeting takes place on Wednesday 27th June 2018 at Christ Church Hall, Cottenham Park Road SW20 0RZ. Come along and meet the Conservators and staff.

Following on from the success of our 2017 “Access for All” Appeal to restore the Inner Windmill Road, this year we are launching a new appeal for the creation of a Wildlife Garden in front of the Ranger's Office. Continuing with the Access for All theme, this will provide a small but important facility for visitors. And importantly, the garden will be a living memory to Dave Wills, the local bird expert who gave so much to the Commons and sadly passed away last year.

The Commons are a great place to walk your dog but with young wildfowl in our ponds, ground-nesting birds on The Plain, and school holidays approaching with lots of children on the Commons, it's important to keep your charges under control.
