Digital Film Festival – Film 6 - A Lockdown Haven

Our new masterplan is all about conserving the Commons for the future. In today’s film, landscape architect Jennifer Mui from MRG talks about working on the plan with us – and about how important the Commons are to her as a local resident, particularly over the last year of the pandemic.

Thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery players, Wimbledon and Putney Commons secured vital funding in 2019 to develop a masterplan to help sustain and conserve this unspoilt landscape. The masterplan will ensure that future generations can enjoy the beauty, nature and heritage of this slice of countryside in the city.

Working with consultants, Barker Langham, these series of short films have been produced to mark the development of the masterplan and to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Commons.
