Christmas New Year 2021/2022

On behalf of all the Conservators and Staff on Wimbledon and Putney Commons, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We are expecting the Commons to be very busy over the holiday period, particularly with more and more people meeting outside again. It’s important that everyone can enjoy their visit to the Commons and so would ask you all to be kind and courteous to each other – we’ve all had yet another tough year.

If you need any assistance at any time, do contact the Ranger’s Office and our Duty Officers will be happy to help. Please see below for contact details and all other important information for your visit over the festive season:

GOLF

Saturday 1st January
Monday 3rd January

On all other days golf will be in play so do please take care around the course.   All visitors are asked to please respect the hard work of the Greenkeepers and keep off the tees and greens to prevent them from being damaged. Some areas have been roped off to try and keep the general wear and tear to a minimum.

HORSES

You can expect to see horses out all over the holidays so do take care if you are walking near horserides particularly if you have children or dogs with you.  If you are not sure how your dogs will behave around horses, do please put them on a lead until the group has passed.

PS! Don't forget about our 150th Anniversary Picture Competition - get that camera out and get snapping!

Thank you!
