New Walk and Talk group for Putney Heath

Following the success of other Walk and Talk groups in the area, particularly the Wimbledon Village Walk and Talk, volunteers from that group decided to set up another group specifically for Putney Heath!

Their inaugural walk took place on Saturday 6 September, meeting at the Green Man.  Organiser, Jane Healey, welcomed local Mayor Cllr Jeremy Ambache, local MP Fleur Anderson and over 50 local people and led the walk taking in The Pound, the reservoir and Hartley's Obelisk.

Refreshments at the end of the walk were kindly provided by the landlord of the Green Man, Tom Richards.

Walk and Talks are a very easy, laid back, friendly and supportive way for anybody and everybody in the community to come together each week.  The works will be held every Saturday morning starting at 10.30am in the courtyard of the Green Man.
