On the Right Path to Putney Heath

The Putney Heath path improvements have begun! Specialist contractors have already restored the well‑used route from Seven Post Pond (Parkside) to Ladies Mile, moving on to:

·         ‘Five Ways’ junction near the Roehampton Ride underpass

·         Scio Ride and Scio Path

·         Manor Cottage to Queensmere Pond

Over the coming weeks, tons of aggregate will be laid, levelled and rolled to make the Commons easier to explore, while protecting our sensitive habitats. While the repairs are being carried out, please be aware of heavy machinery moving about and keep dogs on a lead in the area.

The new paths should help prevent the need to navigate uneven or waterlogged and muddy ground, particularly in the winter.

The project was kick-started by generous donations to last year’s Big Give Christmas Appeal, which raised nearly £17,000.
