Results of The Spencer Bench Survey
We had an overwhelming response to the public consultation on the future of the Spencer benches.
We received 1,239 replies by the deadline of 27th September. Of these, 866 people (70%) would like to see the benches retained as long term fixture, 329 (26.5%) would like the benches to be retained - but reviewed every 5 years, and 43 (3.5%) would like the benches to be removed.
The future of the benches will be discussed at the next meeting of the Conservators. Thank you to all those who took the time to respond to the consultation
