Consultation: Land Management Plan

The Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators are a charity, established in 1871, with a legal duty to protect the wildlife and landscape of the Commons, whilst keeping them open and unbuilt on for public access and recreation.

This autumn we will begin preparing our five year Land Management Plan for Wimbledon and Putney Commons. This Plan will set out how we will balance the often competing demands on the Commons. It will detail how we will manage the wildlife of the Commons, the landscape, the infrastructure (such as paths, benches and bins)
and how we will manage public access across this valuable Site of Special Scientific Interest/Special Area for Conservation.

In order to help guide the production of the Plan, we want to know what’s important to you, the people who live near to and use the Commons.

What are the three features of the Commons that you consider are most important/valuable to conserve/manage?

What do you consider to be the three most significant issues on the Commons that the Land Management Plan will need to address?
