Annual Open Meeting 2020

At the time of organising the Annual Open Meeting, the government restrictions do not allow large gatherings.  It has therefore been necessary to both delay and change the format of our normal Annual Open Meeting.

This year’s Annual Open Meeting will be held virtually via electronic means.  Anyone wishing to “attend” will need to register in advance and details on how to do this will be available here in due course. In the meantime, do please e-mail rangersoffice@wpcc.org.uk to register your interest and we will forward registration details as soon as they are available.

The Audited Financial Statements and Trustees' Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 March 2020 will be available on this page at least two weeks prior to the Meeting.  If you prefer to have a hard copy, please do contact the Ranger's Office to arrange for one to be sent by post or for collection from the office.

Questions and Answers

The format of the question and answer session will also need to change this year.  Questions on the Financial Statements and Trustees' Annual Report should be submitted in writing, by e-mail or by phone in advance of the meeting and will be read out and answered by the relevant Conservator at the meeting.

In keeping with our standard protocol, there will be a limit of three questions per person.  Due to time restrictions, there may be more questions than can be answered during the meeting and those not answered during the evening will be published with answers here.

Any questions arising from any of the presentations can be submitted via the webinar facility but for ease should be kept brief. Again, the Conservators will endeavour to answer as many questions as possible but any not answered during the meeting will also be published here. 

We hope that as many people as possible are able to join us and apologise to anyone who is unable to join us for this year's meeting.

Holding an Event on Wimbledon and Putney Commons

As the Commons are now a popular location for events, you will need to seek permission from the Ranger's Office before organising any formal or semi-formal event on or across the Commons.  This is to ensure that there is no clash of events that would spoil the enjoyment of participants, or negatively impact our visitors, other users or  indeed have a negative impact on the Commons - a protected Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Whilst we are limited to the size and type of event we can host here on the Commons, we are always happy to see if we can help.  Please complete the Enquiry Form and one of our team will get back to you to discuss your request.  

As a charity, we do charge for events on the Commons.  The charges will depend on the nature of the event.  Please contact the Ranger's Office for further information.
