Donate a bench in tribute to someone who loved the Commons or in celebration of the memories you've made here.

 

Wimbledon and Putney Commons have provided cherished green spaces in our community for generations – and generations have celebrated loved ones or memorable moments by donating a commemorative bench for fellow visitors to enjoy.

Sponsoring and dedicating a bench on the Commons is a special way to celebrate memories connected with a beloved location – every commemorative bench has a unique story behind it.  

Benches donated to Wimbledon and Putney Commons also support the charity that manages this special place, by helping to raise funds for maintaining and improving the landscape and facilities.

As so many memories are made here, we receive many more enquiries for commemorative benches on the Commons than we have space for – particularly on Wimbledon Common - and we are currently working our way through a lengthy waiting list.

Due to the extremely high demand, we have closed the waiting list until further notice. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

However, we are currently able to offer a limited number of commemorative plaques on the viewing deck at the restored Queensmere Pond (Make Your Mark on Queensmere) and are also working on making available alternative commemorative options.
