Commemorative Benches

Benches on the Commons can be dedicated in tribute to someone who loved the Commons or in celebration of a special occasion.

Each commemorative bench here has a story behind it, and it is a privilege to work with each family. Benches that are donated to Wimbledon and Putney Commons also support the charity that manages this special place, by helping to raise funds for maintaining and improving the landscape and facilities.

As so many memories are made here, we receive more enquiries for commemorative benches on the Commons than we have space for – particularly in areas such as around the Windmill and Rushmere.

With limited capacity, we operate a waiting list. If you’d like to be added, please complete the form below. When an opportunity arises or an alternative commemorative option, we shall be in touch with more information.

We currently have positions available around the War Memorial in the memorial grove by the Richardson Evans Memorial Playing Fields. All other locations are currently being mapped.

You can find a copy of our terms and conditions here
