Leaving a Legacy gift to care for the Commons
When you leave a gift in your will to Wimbledon and Putney Commons, you’re helping to protect and enhance the place that we all love.
For over 150 years, the woodlands, heath and wild spaces of Wimbledon and Putney Commons have been protected and cared for by local people. Today, this large green open landscape is cared for by a small charity, Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators, which continues to ensure that the paths, views and wildlife you treasure remain safe and open to everyone.
Although the charity receives some income through the Levy on local residences, it covers only part of what’s needed to care for the Commons. Donations from people like you help us go further. They help restore habitats, improve paths, and enrich the visitor experience.
A gift in your Will can help protect the Commons for generations to come.
Your gift could…
- Fund habitat restoration, pond management, woodland care and wildlife protection, so that the moments that take our breath away remain part of every visit.
- Repair paths, improve wayfinding and maintain facilities so that everyone can enjoying exploring.
