Terms and Conditions

The competition organiser is Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators whose registered address is the Ranger’s Office, Windmill Road, Wimbledon Common, London SW19 5NR.

The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom.  Trustees and staff of Wimbledon and Putney Commons and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the judging of the competition may submit photographs but they will not be eligible for a prize.

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

Entries should be submitted to the Ranger’s Office in electronic form via e-mail.  The e-mail address is rangersoffice@wpcc.org.uk.

No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

Any pictures not fitting the entry requirements will not be included in the competition.

No more than six pictures per person may be entered each quarter.

The picture must have been created by you or submitted by you on behalf of the photographer/artist in which case you must provide their name.

The picture must be taken for the competition and within the time period of each round

The prize will be as announced and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Winners will be chosen from all entries received and verified by the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators.

Quarterly closing dates will be at 5pm on:

Winter - 28 February 2023
Spring - 31 May 2023
Summer - 31 August 2023
Autumn - TBA

The winner will be notified by email within seven days of the closing date.

Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Entrants agree to the use of their name and entry for any purpose the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators see fit in relation to the competition including on all social media platforms and on the Wimbledon and Putney Commons’ website. 

Entrants agree to the use of their image for any future use in relation to Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators such as on the Wimbledon and Putney Commons’ website, on all social media platforms, in publications or for commercial and fundraising purposes.

Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
